Executive Summary
Zero-cost-textbook (ZTC) adoption is a visible institutional priority — and the underlying data spans years, terms, departments, and changing course flags. I built a Power BI dashboard covering four academic years, with a real data model underneath so that filters compose correctly and trend comparisons are trustworthy rather than coincidental.
Approach
- Modeled course, section, and term data into a clean star-style structure rather than reporting off raw extracts.
- Designed views around stakeholder questions — adoption over time, by division and department, and where the remaining opportunity is concentrated.
- Validated dashboard figures against source queries before stakeholder release.
Outcome
A dashboard institutional stakeholders use to track affordability progress across four academic years — self-service answers for a recurring question that previously required ad-hoc requests.
Skills Demonstrated
- Power BI data modeling and DAX-backed measures
- Multi-year trend visualization and dashboard design
- Stakeholder-driven reporting and validation
